This is an exciting week at the Fashion Place because tomorrow we’re setting off bright and early to London Fashion Weekend, with our second year and Masters students!
We’ve been watching the coverage all weekend and are especially enjoying Mulberry’s new designs (we’ve fallen in love with their Roxette in Rose Petal Shearling) and those of Preen by Thornton Bregazzi!
We’re particularly looking forward to the Guy Bourdin photography exhibition at Somerset House. Watch this space for highlights from our trip!

Congratulations to our second cohort of MSc Fashion Management graduates who celebrated their success in yesterday’s graduation ceremony! Good luck for the future and keep in touch!
Here’s a little challenge that Dr Morag Hamilton, Course Leader for the Masters in Fashion Management, sets our students each year. Morag completed her PhD in luxury branding a few years ago and introduces the challenge as part of her fashion branding module.
Research has shown that we, as consumers, tend to be more loyal towards brands than specific retailers and most of us could relate to a number of brands we engage with on a daily basis.
These are Morag’s “brands in a day”. Only one of these is merely aspirational – I wonder if you can guess which one…
What would be your “brands in a day”?
We’re looking back fondly at September 2012, when we unveiled our new study space and welcomed our second cohort of MSc Fashion Management students!
We’re preparing for our next intake of rising stars in fashion management! The MSc Fashion Management starts on the 30th of September and there are still some funded places available for those who wish to apply.
You do need a first degree but this needn’t be in a fashion related discipline – we welcome a variety of applicants with a passion for fashion! For more information or to apply, please visit http://www.rgu.ac.uk/mscfashionmanagement
