Destination fashion

This year, our first year Fashion Management, Events Management, International Tourism Management and Public Relations students came together to organise our annual fashion exhibition as part of a module Managing in the Creative Industries.

Each year, the students are given a brief and work in cross-cohort teams to organise a creative showcase. The teams are given ยฃ10 and tasked with choosing an outfit from an Aberdeen-based charity shop around which to style an exhibition. This year’s brief required the students to choose a non-traditional fashion destination (i.e. not Paris, London, New York or Milan) and use the event as an opportunity to showcase and promote that place.

The students chose a range of exciting destinations, including Berlin, Edinburgh, Seoul, Seville, Florence, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Moscow and Bangkok. Here are some of their ย visuals.
