We’d like to say a huge thanks to Kenny Wilson, CEO of Cath Kidston, for giving a truly inspiring talk to our students today!
It was really interesting learning about Kenny’s career and the internationalisation of the Cath Kidston brand – which we love. This was particularly exciting for our fourth year Fashion Management students who completed a Cath Kidston design project in their second year.
What a fantastic start to the week!
We had a fantastic time at last night’s Love Fashion event; organised by Trend and Premiere Productions. This is a new and unique event celebrating fashion from the North East of Scotland.
We were inspired by festive party wear and winter outerwear in this timely event. Once again we were wowed by the fabulous designs of Atelier Daniel Crozier and there was some fantastic local entertainment including singers and dancers!
Thanks to our students who were helping behind the scenes and whose efforts were described as “outstanding” by the organisers. Looking forward to what is set to become an annual event!
We had a great time at last week’s ABS50 Research Conference where we heard some interesting presentations and keynotes. Our Fashion Place contribution was two posters showcasing examples of a project-based approach to teaching. This year’s Magazine Project and Fashion Exhibition celebrated the 50th Anniversary of Aberdeen Business School so it seemed very fitting that these should be included in the conference! Well done to all the students who made these projects a success!
This is Claudia and Ciera, two of our 2nd year students currently on the ERASMUS program at the Seneca College, Toronto, and by the looks of things having a fabulous time interning at Toronto Fashion Week. Thank you so much for sending in the pictures, we are always excited to see what our students are getting up to on their travels 🙂
